HOW TO NOMINATE

STEP 1: REVIEW AWARD CATEGORIES AND DETERMINE YOUR ELIGIBILITY.

Review the 2025 AHA ACT Awards for Excellence categories by clicking on each and determine your eligibility for the categories that apply to your property.

To be eligible to enter any category for the 2025 AHA ACT Awards for Excellence, your venue must be a financial member of the Australian Hotels Association ACT (AHA ACT).

STEP 2: PREPARE YOUR SUBMISSIONS

Prepare and gather your submissions and supporting documents for the applicable categories.

Read all the guidelines and requirements for written submissions for your applicable categories.

STEP 3: CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT

You will need to create a new hotel or multiple venue account for this year’s awards nominations. This can be done by clicking ‘Create Group Account’ if you manage multiple hotels or ‘Create Single Venue Account’ if you are only entering one hotel.

Follow the prompts to confirm your account.

STEP 4: COMPLETE NOMINATIONS AND TICKETING

Once logged into your account, click ‘Nominations’ and select the award categories you wish to nominate for as well as tickets you wish to purchase and follow the prompts.

Entry fees are $110 across all categories and some also attract a request for vouchers or judging funds required to judge the category. Depending on the category, this may include the cost of accommodation, meals, beverages, etc. You will be prompted for what is required for each category when you nominate.

Once you have selected your award categories and tickets, click ‘Save and Continue” to return to your dashboard.

STEP 5: CONFIRM AND PAY FOR NOMINATIONS

To review your ticketing and nomination choices, you will receive an email confirmation as well as a link to log in and review your selections under the 'Current Nominations’ section.

Once you are happy that your nominations and ticketing is correct, you can then proceed to payment. Payment is required as confirmation of your entry into the 2025 AHA ACT Awards for Excellence.

At the bottom of the page, click ‘Create Invoice’ to generate an invoice. The invoice will be sent to your nominated email address. Follow the payment instructions provided in the invoice to complete your transaction.

STEP 6: UPLOAD YOUR VENUE & EMPLOYEE IMAGES AND SUBMISSIONS

A minimum of 2-3 high resolution jpeg images of the hotel and/or person nominated, as well as a logo must be supplied to be utilised during the awards ceremony.

To upload your venue & employee photos and submissions, navigate to the nominations dashboard and click ‘Manage Files’ under ‘Current Nominations.’

Click “Add Files” to select the required files. Once the files are selected hit “Start” to begin your upload. Once the upload is complete, your files have been updated. Return to the top of the page and click ‘Click here to go back to the dashboard’ and repeat for all nominations.
