JUDGING VOUCHERS & JUDGING FUNDS INFORMATION

OVERVIEW:

Some categories require the property to supply a voucher or judging funds to cover accommodation and/or meal costs that are associated with judging the property. This allows the judge to comfortably and anonymously make reservations and to enjoy the property to its full extent without being inhibited financially.

JUDGING VOUCHERS:

Please include separate vouchers for each category entered. Vouchers must be completely anonymous and have no reference to Accommodation Awards, AHA ACT, the Awards for Excellence or judging. Vouchers should have a monetary value on the voucher based on the estimated spend for the judging to take place. Room vouchers should specify the room type, rooms to be judged are standard rooms, and no upgrades will be accepted.

Please also include details of how to redeem, any exclusions on the voucher (i.e. Room booking only for Monday - Thursday, restaurant operating hours etc.). This will assist the judge when making their booking.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please ensure your staff are aware of the voucher so that they do not
question the judge on check-out. The judges will only present the voucher at the end of the visit to maintain the integrity of the judging process and any refunds should be processed following departure to the nominated credit card.

JUDGING FUNDS:

There is no limit to the value you put on the voucher amount, as we encourage each property to make it an amount that you feel adequately covers what will be judged, as each property will differ in pricing. This can be done through the AHA ACT Awards website when entering nominations by selecting ‘judging funds’. The amount you indicate will be loaded onto a pre-paid Visa card to be used by the judge for payment.

BEST BAR PRESENTATION & SERVICE

BEST OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE (INCL. ROOFTOP BARS)

BEST UNIQUE BAR EXPERIENCE (INCL. SMALL, COCKTAIL, LOUNGE OR THEMED BARS)

BEST FAMILY FRIENDLY 

**Voucher or funds for two adults to have a main meal, and two children to have a
kid’s meal must be provided to cover the cost of judging.

BEST LATE NIGHT VENUE 

** Voucher or funds for two adults to cover drinks, bar snacks and any venue cover charge must be provided to cover the cost of judging.

BEST SPORTING ENTERTAINMENT VENUE

**Voucher or funds for two adults to cover drinks and bar snacks must be provided to cover the cost of judging.

BEST HEALTH SPA & WELLNESS EXPERIENCE 

**Voucher or funds for one adult to cover a treatment up to $250 must be provided to cover the cost of judging.

BEST CASUAL DINING EXPERIENCE 

**Voucher or funds for two adults to cover 2 courses, beverages and parking must be provided to cover the cost of judging. 

BEST RESTAURANT 

**Voucher or funds for two adults to cover 3 courses, beverages and parking must be provided to cover the cost of judging. 

BEST STEAK

**Voucher or funds for two adults funds to have a steak main, sides and beverages must be provided to cover the cost of judging.

BEST BURGER

**Voucher or funds for two adults funds to have a burger as a main meal and beverages
must be provided to cover the cost of judging.

BEST PARMI

**Voucher or funds for two adults funds to have a Parmi or Schnitzel with toppings, and beverages must be provided to cover the cost of judging.

BEST STEAK SANDWICH

**Voucher or funds for two adults funds to have a steak sandwich as a main meal and
beverages must be provided to cover the cost of judging.

BEST SUNDAY ROAST

**Voucher or funds for two adults funds to have a Sunday Roast plus beverages must be
provided to cover the cost of judging.

BEST CHEAP EAT MEAL (UNDER $20)

**Voucher or funds for two adults funds to have a meal and beverages must be provided
to cover the cost of judging.

BEST BUDGET STYLE ACCOMMODATION

**Voucher or funds for one night’s accommodation (standard room), main meal and beverages for two adults to cover the cost of judging.

APARTMENT/SUITE OF THE YEAR 

**Voucher or funds for two adults to cover one night’s accommodation (standard apartment) breakfast allowance and parking must be provided to cover the cost of judging. 

MID-RANGE HOTEL OF THE YEAR 

**Voucher or funds for two adults to cover one night’s accommodation (standard room), breakfast, dinner, beverages and parking must be provided to cover the cost of judging. 

SUPERIOR HOTEL OF THE YEAR 

**Voucher or funds for two adults to cover one night’s accommodation (standard room), breakfast, dinner, beverages, parking and a room service option to the value of $100 must be provided to cover the cost of judging. 

DELUXE HOTEL OF THE YEAR 

**Voucher or funds for two adults to cover one night’s accommodation (deluxe room), breakfast, dinner, beverages, parking and a room service option to the value of $100 must be provided to cover the cost of judging.
